Tahiri Veila
Reality is so far from me right now.
Anakin Solo has returned from Myrkr.
It has been ten years since his supposed
death, ten years since the pain began.
It's taken ten years for me to begin to
ease it, and now he's come back to rip
all my emotional scars open. I can't
deny that I remember the way I felt for
him all those years ago, and I also can't
deny that those feelings have returned.
But how could I ever express those words?
I can barely remember what the word was
called for expressing such a feeling.
Leave? Live? Love.
I cannot believe that he is still alive,
there is no logical explanation.
But I have known the galaxy to be full
of surprises, so I know it to be possible.
Anakin arrived here five hours ago, and I have
yet to see him. I don't know how he will react
to me. I have transformed into someone almost
completely different than I used to be.
He will not love me as he once did.
Tahiri Veila sighed sadly and laid her datapad down on the bench. She was seated on the balcony overlooking the gardens. The sun was going down and a light breeze was blowing. Tahiri closed her eyes and let her spirit enjoy the weather. The breeze seemed to flow through her at a whole new level, the sunset looked more stunning than ever. The sensation seemed to enable her senses to a high level. She looked downwards and spotted Han and Leia Organa Solo with all three of their children, hugging and kissing Anakin over and over. Anakin was bearing the attention with a calm smile, although she could see his eyes searching the crowd that surrounded him. She smiled then turned her attention back to the sunset.
Anakin Solo
Anakin scanned the crowd, ignoring the questions that everyone was pouring down upon him. he didn't care, all he wanted was to find her. Alema Rar walked up to him, smiling broadly, Anakin hardly noticed.
"Anakin, aren't you going to say hello to me?" She asked, flashing him a fliritatious smile. Then Anakin spotted her. Tahiri was looking out at the sunset, her eyes closed.
"Exceuse me," He ran past Alema and up the long staircase to the top veranda. Alema glanced darkly up at Tahiri.
-------------------------------------------------------
"Tahiri!" Anakin exclaimed, she turned towards him. He gathered her in his arms and swung her around. She smiled and Anakin set her down lightly. "I missed you so much." He declared and hugged her to him tightly.
"Do you still feel... the way you did ten years ago?" Tahiri asked hesitantly, speaking what was on her mind. Anakin cupped her cheek in his right hand.
"I sense confusion in you," He pressed his lips to her forehead. "Do not doubt me, Tahiri. I still love you, I always have."
"But... you have been away for so long. You do not doubt your feelings?" She looked down. He lifted her chin with his hand.
"What are you talking about, Angel?" You were the only thing that kept me alive all those years. The thought of you kept me moving, even when everything seemed hopelessly out of my hands. And I got here, because of you," He traced his fingers over her forehead, then crossed them over her cheek, then lips. "I could live well enough before I met you, but now... I can't live without you. Tahiri, please don't doubt my love," Anakin eased Tahiri into his arms and moved his lips slowly towards hers, giving her time to pull away. She didn't. He pressed his lips to hers tenderly, she melted into his arms and he deepened the kiss passionately. "Do you doubt now?"
Tahiri smiled and shook her head. "I do not believe I ever doubted, only feared that I disagreeumtions might've been true."
"What has happened to you all these years?" Anakin asked, some of his concern creeping into his tone.
"Your death changed me, Anakin. Riina and I had a fight, which ended up in my character changing. I'm not the girl you once knew and loved, Ani,"
"You're right, you are not," Tahiri looked into his eyes with surprise. "You are now a lovely woman, whose character has changed with age and knowledge," He leaned over and placed his lips next to the nape of her neck. "But you are still Tahiri, you are still my Angel, and I am still in love with you." He held her close for several minutes.
"I-I missed you, Anakin," Tahiri stuttered. "-a lot. I don't know why I feel this way, but I feel as if you could never love me, that I'm not worthy of you..." Anakin stopped her by touching his lips to hers for two seconds, attempting to ignore the impulse to turn it into a tender kiss.
"When I'm near you, my heart begins to beat faster. When you glance at me, I have to catch my breath. When you touch me, my body erupts in goosebumps. When you kiss me, my senses dull and the only people that remain in the galaxy are you and I. The only thing that matters is you. I am aware of nothing else accept your lips against mine and our love. Tahiri, I need you in my life, I need you by me. I need your love constantly there to carry me through the day.
"While I was attempting to return to you, I kept imagining that it was there, still between us, all those years. Now that I'm here with you, I can't imagine, I have to know. If anything, I feel unworthy for your love. Please, Tahiri, tell me you love me, marry me. Please,"
"I-I do love... I do love you," Tahiri looked into his ice blue eyes, and Anakin caught his breath. Her deep green eyes were so beautiful, and the words she spoke backed up her statement. "I will marry you, Anakin," Anakin smiled and tears of joy made their way into his eyes.
"Thank you," He whispered. She wiped the tears from Anakin's eyes with a few festering in her own. He moved his hand up Tahiri's back and she closed her eyes. He kissed her right cheek, right below her eye, and the tears trickled down her face. He moved to her left cheek and pressed his lips softly to that cheek. Tahiri opened her eyes and Anakin kissed her nose, never moving his gaze from her wonderful eyes. Her gaze was now filled with love and happiness. "You're so... beautiful." He whispered, then kissed her lovingly on the mouth, she draped her arms over his shoulders while he brought her even closer to his body by hugging her waist to him.
Their love surrounded them, they could never be seperated. Not by man power, Not by words, Not by the Force. They were completely in love. Saying 'I love you' could not cover the way they felt. It was eternally abounding.
