"But what if I don't like it here?" 11 year old, Anakin Solo asked his Uncle Luke Skywalker as he was guided up the steps towards the temple.
"There are many students, you are bound to make at least ONE friend. And everyone knows that
if you have a friend life can never be all THAT bad." Anakin looked up at the large building.
"What if no one likes me?"
"Someone is bound to like you! Now come, many Jedi Masters are awaiting your arival!"

"Aunt Mara, what do I need to do first?" Tionne was leading Anakin to the fellowship room.
She motioned to all the Padawans and Masters in the room, playing tag or staring at an intense game of Sabacc.
"Make a friend." She said, then walked off.
One person stood out at the Sabacc table however, a small girl, around nine, holding cards and smiling gleefully, as if she were winning. Aparrently, she was.
"Yes!" She cried out, and jumped down from her chair. "I won! Again!" She continued her victory dance while her astounded opponents looked down at their cards and back to the playing feild.
"Every time." One of them, with glistening white hair mumbled. She got up, and upon seeing Anakin came over to him.
"Hello, Anakin. I'm Tionne. Welcome to the Jedi Academy." The girl who had been dancing came over to them.
"Anakin? Anakin Solo? I'm Tahiri Veila. Tionne said that you'd be coming soon, but I didn't know when. I had planned to greet you down at the landing plateform with Master Skywalker when you arrived, but I wanted to play another game of...Sabrk...Sabak...whatever. I'm good at it. I've won like...10 times! Haven't I, Tionne?" The girl babbled, and Anakin barely caught onto what she was saying.
"Tahiri, why don't you slow down and say things to where Anakin can understand them?" From the look on Tionne's face, Anakin was pretty sure that she didn't know what Tahiri had said either.
"Oh, sorry." She took a deep breath. "I talk a lot. Probably because where I come from, the only way they talk is in grunts and shouts and stuff. I barely remembered how to speak Basic when I came here. When I discovered that people answer you mostly when you talk I haven't really stopped since." She grinned sheepishly at Anakin and Tionne.
"Well, I'll leave you two to talk, I have to take care of some buisness in the library ward." Tionne walked off, leaving Anakin with Tahiri, who had started talking again.
"Where are you from? Who are your parents? I'm from Tatooine and I can't really remember my parents, the only family I've ever had my whole life would be the Sand People."
"Uh...My parents are Han and Leia Solo." Anakin stuttered.
"Yeah, I figured that. Your last name is the same as theirs. Where are you from?" Tahiri paused for breath.
"I'm from a lot of different places. I dunno where I was born."
"Oh, that's too bad. Slavin always said I had been born on Tatooine, so I don't think I was born anywhere exciting like you probably were."
"Who's Slavin?" Anakin was glad that he had made a friend, if not a little annoyed at her talkativeness, but still happy all the same.
"He's my 'foster' dad. Whatever that means."
"What happened to your real parents?"
"They...died." Tahiri looked away, and Anakin realized ha had made his new friend sad.
"Oh, I'm sorry." Neither of them spoke until Tahiri -no surprise there- broke the silence.
"So, how old are you?"
"I'm eleven."
"Really? That's neat. I'm nine...and a half. I think." Anakin almost laughed at her bewilderment over a simple question.
Tionne rounded the corner. "Alright, little ones, time for bed. You can keep your lights on until 9:00."
"But I want to stay in here with Anakin." Tahiri said. Tionne smiled patiently.
"You can talk to Anakin all you want tomorrow, Tahiri. Now it's time for bed." She guided Anakin to his room, and then lead Tahiri down the hall to hers.
"'Night, Anakin." Tahiri called out to him as she disappeared around the corner.
"Goodnight, Tahiri." He said, walking into his room.
Oh, great. Now she's going to chatter a bunch tomorrow.

Exar Kun smiled. Anakin Solo was entering the Jedi Academy, the perfect chance for him to employ another accomplice. Another chance for the Dark to once again cover the Galaxy....
