-------------------------------------------------------------------
A woman, a Jedi, a queen. She lived in palace filled with people, yet she was alone. She was given anything she asked for, yet she could not have what she wanted. For all the wealth in the galaxy, and she had most of it, she could not buy a love she had once posed for the price of a smile.
I don't know your face no more
He had been hurt and she was unable to tend his wounds. He had been imprisoned and she had been unable to set him free. He had changed and she had stayed the same.
Or feel your touch that I adore
She would give her kingdom, her life and even her lightsaber to feel his worm body held close to her. To stroke a hand trough his hair. To tell him she loved him …
I don't know your face no more
It's just a place I'm looking for
He was always there for her. Not that she ever needed support, but she would never turn him away. Not like he has done to her.
We might as well be strangers in another town
He was not the same person she had loved, not the boy she had adored. He was a man, a man scared beyond repair. Hardened by war, cooled by treachery. His empathy, almost completely gone. He was once emotional, he had once loved her. But now there was just a shell, he saw her as a queen. Something to respect but never touched, something to obey but never listen to.
We might as well be living in a different world
She sobbed into her already damp pillow. Why was fate so cruel? She had been through so much. She had thought he was dead and she had been destroyed. She had discovered he was alive and she had lived once more.
Her hart was a bundle of cracks and glue, but this obliterated it completely. As if a Sith lord had sent force lightening directly into her soul. It was eating her away. Each particle was burnt beyond any chance of healing. She was hart-broken in the deepest meaning of the word.
He was alive but she was alone, she could never have him again…
We might as well
We might as well
We might as well
I don't know your thoughts these days
She cried into her pillow, and punched the bed with her only hand. Who was he? He was not Jacen Solo. That boy would never put her trough this, would never cause her pain, and if he did he would make it all better for her. He was her rock, her balance, though she would never admit such weakness.
Perhaps that was the problem. Perhaps it had been her doing. By not letting her emotions show enough, perhaps she had pushed him away, had hurt him so badly he had been forced to adapt to survive. He had been sentence to this shell that was his body, by her very hand.
We're strangers in an empty space
No! No, this was not her fault. She had always been the same. He was the only one who had changed. He had loved her once, hadn’t he? She was almost certain he had felt the same when they were young.
But perhaps he had never loved her, perhaps she was foolish to think a being as great as Jacen Solo could love a mere peasant! Yes she realised she wasn’t a peasant, not literally, but its how she felt compared to him. She was dust on a mantel while he was the centrepiece. And like dust she had just been swept away, with out a second thought.
I don't understand your heart
It's easier to be apart
Perhaps it was for the best. How could love be worth so much pain? What if they had been married and had children of there own, what if something had happened then? Perhaps it will cause her less pain in the long years left to come. Though at the moment she could not imagine living the rest of her life, alone in a palace full of people.
We might as well be strangers in another town
We might as well be living in a another time
We might as well
We might as well
We might as well be strangers
Be strangers
Jacen Solo was dead. His body was walking, breathing and fighting on some distant world but to Tenel Ka, He was dead. A stranger in an all to familiar body. And her punishment for having allowed this to happen was to see him every day, too hear words of his travels. He was only a comm. call away. Yet she could never reach him, never touch him, never kiss him and never confess her love.
He was a stranger, a walking corpse. He was everything and anything. But the one thing he was not destroyed her love. He was not Jacen Solo.
For all I know of you now
For all I know of you now
For all I know of you now
For all I know
