Backstabber!
You liar, betrayer
I should'be known you'd be just like your father!
I know he hurt you, but that's no excuse
to hurt anything and everything that touches you.
What more could you want?
Mara hugged her 2 yr. old son to her chest as she looked out across the black void of space.
Somewhere out there, her husband attempted to rule the galaxy. But Luke would fail.
No, his name is not Luke anymore. he does not have a name; he does not deserve one.
I was not enough,
And that was evident
by the fact that you
Lied to me and you cheated me, repeatedly,
you never loved me.
I hoped in you,
I believed in you,
I'd forgiven you...
It's all for nothing.
She would raise her son as well as she could by herself. Ben would be trained in the ways of the Force to one day defeat Dark Luke and bring out the old Luke Skywalker. The one now almost forgotten. Ben would bring balance to the Force.
Everything I knew is dead,
I won't let you in again!
I stand on broken chains
that held this bitter slave.
She still loved him, she knew. She missed him terribly. His sky blue eyes and blonde hair; his loving heart and gentle words. Oh, what had happened to him?! How could he have betrayed her and the galaxy? It just wasn't right.
Coldhearted! You hater!
Love me now, so you leave me later.
Deciever, so clever,
Nom Anor couldn't do much better.
How could he!? The irony, he saved her from the Dark Side, but not himself. Oh, how she hated him!
I have nothing to remember you by,
'cause the only thing you gave me was Ben.
Ye, she loved him. She loved him, and it broke her heart to watch him go down a path she could not - would not follow.
(2)I feel the poison cutting through me,
spreads like a cancer all over me.
Could it be that you're so insecure
that you had to curse me?
Go ahead with all you've got,
try to break me down.
Do you think you can hurt me?
All the pain you'll inflict will make me stronger.
You lie in wait, you analyze,
You're looking down on me.
Mara set her jaw and turned around, setting her son in his play area. She had to accept the fact that Luke was no more. He was consumed by the darkness, as his father had been.
You try to take me down,
down to your level but I don't change.
There was a knock at her door, it seemed labored and mournful. She felt as if the energy to walk over and answer it had been sucked out of her. "Come in." she called softly. The sliding door opened without a sound, revealing her caller. It was her husband, and he was weeping.
"Mara," he said brokenly. She was torn between signaling the door to close in his face or running into his arms. She remained neutral. "I'm so sorry.." he gasped out.
"Explain," she folded her arms. She didn't hate him, she realized. [colro=green]I love him to death. But she loved Luke Skywalker, and though the man standing in front of her appeared to be him, it would take some time to regain her trust.
"I was brainwashed and convinced I was the enemy's ally," he stepped forward.
"By whom?"
"Nom Anor,"
"Prove it," she set her jaw. He turned around, showing her the obvious scars that proved the brainwashing. Mara swallowed. "Is it really you?"
"I overcame the darkness, Mara. I remember ... everything I did. All those horrible thing..." Luke's sky blue eyes met her deep green ones. "Please, forgive me." Mara stepped towards him and sensed him out through the Force.
A radiant smile made its way onto her countenance. "It is you!" She threw herself into his arms. He began to weep from relief and he sighed into her red-gold hair, caressing it the way he always had.
"I missed you, my love," Luke whispered fervrently. Mara pulled back just enough to look into his eyes.
"I love you, Luke," she replied. "I forgive you." She closed her eyes and pressed her lips to hers. They sighed and wrapped theirselves in their lover's warm embrace. The wrong had been righted, and everything in the galaxy could now run smoothly.
At least for now.
