I'm a little confused Z.How is it that you know wether or not Blank is right from God's point of veiw.I read the bible two years ago and I don't remember wether or not that was in there. I don't understand the question. Please restate it.

Emlayy is still on the site.I know because I IM her whenever she's online. As for Courtney, from an e-mail I've read her time on the CPU is very limited. And as for the question Z I was asking,How can you see things from a godly perspective, and was anything like that in the bible?

Post by Dorian Ravencroft on Sept 3, 2006 11:57:14 GMT -5
well I will answer a bit for Z if she doesn't mind. Yes God judges men by their hearts, but the bible says that from the abundance of the heart speaks the mouth. In other words if you are one way you will probally act that way. So when you are judged by your heart you actions will be the same.

Blank is correct. If that doesn't answer your question then I will give you more information.

hey, while we are talking about the nature of god and the universe (light conversation), could someone answer if they think one should have to go to church every week,I am currently researching and writing a paper to prove to my dad that he should make me go to church when I don't want to

This is somethin' from my new bible: To keep holy Sunday, the day of the Lord's ressurection:to worship God by taking part in service every Sunday and the Holy Day of Obligation.

Well, I will send you the paper when it is done, but for now I will just say that it is not mentioned in the bible what you just qouted, that is some man that just said that. The bible does say " do not forsake gathering and fellowshiping" , The problem with this is that the bible never said..."every week". The gathering of chirstains of sunday is not even in the bible. It is an invention of the early church.Because the lord said" I will return as I came". They assummed that that meant not only from the sky, but also they assumed that he meant he would return on sunday, the day he left. So they forsaked the ways mentioned in the old testament and began meeting on sunday.

plus, the day of obligation. I never said to anyone that I would come to church every sunday, therefore I have no obligation from god or man to go every sunday.

I know.that qoute was from a commandments of the church not the scriptures themselves

You are supposed to keep the sabath holy by taking a day of rest every week and worship. However as to forsaking the assembly, the believers of the early church met every day. But, because the Bible is Living and therefore it will apply to the point that you are trying to make. Also, the Bible commands us to meet with other believers regularly. As you may have already found many verses on that. We also go to church to set aside a day to worship with our church family. Although we should be taking part in devotions daily, we are to meet with other believers to take part in teaching, the Lords Supper, worship, and evangilism.

yes, but the bible does not ever say reguarly. Please show me where I am wrong. Also I will send you the paper once it is done and if you wish you can write a rebutle, if notI would like to drop it because I we will start arguing on this.
