I have the notebook right here and I'm updating RIGHT now!
-------------------------
"Your queen commands you to! The stable hand can ready another horse." I commanded.
"Go now, Lola. Ride hard!" I saw there was no dissuading her so I bit my lip and ran down the corridor to the stable boy.
"Where can I change into this disguise?" I whispered as he guided me through the darkened halls. Heck, this kid knows my home better than I do!
"In there. Hurry. They may spot the horse." I rushed into the room and changed speedily into the peasant clothing.
"Follow me." The little guy grabbed me by the hand and literally dragged me (he's strong for his age) down to the stable. I saw a horse and a man (or their shadows) about 20 yards away by a cluster of trees. "You are going to ride with my older brother to a safe place, if it pleases you, my lady." The little boy looked in awe of the fact that he was helping the Queen of Senteniel to escape, so I didn't reply with the fact that nothing could make me happy anymore now that my castle was in ruins and my kingdom under seige, but I bit my lip a second time and smiled down at him.
"Thank you."
"Run as low as you can. God bless you and my brother." I took off running (tripping) towards the waiting figure. The fabric was EXTREMELY uncomfortable and was riding upwards in the behind. I finally stumbled to a stop in front of the horse.
"Up you go," The man hoisted me up onto the horse. "Hang tight, my lady." No worries there. I looked down at the man and almost gasped. Not because he was breathtakingly handsome, but because he was a white skinned 19 year old. And his younger brother was a dark skinned, cute boy. (I gaped at the color differences, but I don't think he noticed {hopefully}.)
"Hold onto me, your highness," He whispered to me as the shouts of the enemy grew louder. He hopped onto the steed (I dunno HOW in the world he got in front). I blushed as I wrapped my arms around his waist. "Here we go."
As we galloped off into the night, I looked back at my burning castle and heard a scream, my mother's. My father's dying shout came soon afterward. I turned back to the road blinking tears out of my eyes. I could only pray that Genny and my brother made it out safely.
Or made it out at all, for that matter.
